< 1 Min. The first day’s leg is already a tough one: we traipse through the sand for six hours. Our caravan is moving along the historic trade route that connected Jerusalem to Mecca for over a thousand years.
< 1 Min. To the centre of the earth! German photographer Malte Clavin is one of the few who was able to take part in what is probably one of the most adventurous photo tours in the world, the Son Doong expedition.
< 1 Min. Expedition into the depths of the Amazon region with all its inhabitants. I was in the middle of it with a small group and couldn’t get out of my amazement.
13 Min. To the center of the earth! The most spectacular trip I’ve ever done: the Son Doong cave expedition in Vietnam. First, it’s through leech-infested jungle. Then, abseiling down into the cave, over sharp rocks, through underground lakes, gigantic shafts. Absolutely breathtaking!
5 Min. My photo of fishermen on Inle Lake was published in the American gourmet magazine SAVEUR.
14 Min. It’s off to a good start: sunburn, heat stroke, insect bites. Broken leg, dehydration, diarrhoea. Ida Vincent of Biosphere Expeditions initiates nearly a dozen dedicated conservationists from Germany, Austria, Italy, the US and Australia into the hazards of the Sumatran jungle.

3 Min. I wouldn’t have dreamed of it a few years ago either: me in the newspaper BILD: “Barren gorges alternating with densely overgrown rainforests. Low-hanging clouds make the shots seem mystical.”
< 1 Min. I can’t say it any other way: this was the most awesome thing I’ve ever done: The five-day expedition through one of the largest caves in the world in Vietnam. I couldn’t forget the amazement and sweating.
< 1 Min. Sixty people from all over the world, including me, learn the fascinating effects of breathing, body exercises and ice baths in 5 days. Highlight: We boot up the Sniezka in shorts. My video summarises the experience.
8 Min. I hesitated for a long time whether I should write about this experience. For one and a half years. Until today.
< 1 Min. Borneo – what a paradise for nature photographers! Borneo’s jungle has a big biological diversity. What fascinates me most – besides orangutans and proboscis monkeys – is the variety of insects, which I got vividly close to with my new macro lens.
