20 Min. Aboard the research vessel ‘Resolute’, I lent a hand as a temporary scientist and helped collect data. The expedition took us through the Canadian Arctic to the breathtaking fjords of Greenland.
< 1 Min. Grasshoppers, ants, cicadas, black flies, phasmids. Then 197 species of butterflies and even a leafcutter bee. The island is also home to endemic snakes, skinks, geckos, bats, 21 species of birds, including an entire family of bird species, the kagus.

< 1 Min. The tour starts in Luleå in the north of Sweden. During the tour we hike in the Muddus National Park, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Laponia. Three nights in huts or tents, no WiFi, no electricity, no running water. Instead, pure nature and outhouse toilets. Re-poaching – just the way I like it.

On board the ‘Resolute’, a comfortably equipped ship under the flag of the Royal Canadian Geographic Society, zoologists, ornithologists, oceanographers and glaciologists will conduct scientific surveys and counts over the next 10 days. And in the middle of it all, me, as a ‘temporary researcher’.
